If you take GO trains on the Barrie line, you may recognize this sailing ship, becalmed behind a light industrial plaza in south end Aurora .
Here’s my poem:
This ship has sailed
on exotic highways,
the winds of traffic on its lowered mast
and under its hull.
Now, a calm sheltered mooring
in the lee of an industrial plaza
by waves of GO train commuters.
OK – your turn…
This poem was submitted by Peggy at the Aurora Library show:
This ship has sailed
and I am left behind, yet
in my heart is hope.
