Even stones dissolve
This is a line from a poem I wrote in response to several photographs of rocks and water on Georgian Bay. The poem ends with a haiku, and I would like you to use the title, Even stones dissolve, as a lead-in to your own poem.

Even stones dissolve
Into the shallow water
Where the tides rise
Even stones dissolve
Washing away with the waves
Gone to salt and sand
