The Fallen is an ongoing project. It is a series of images and texts from an exhibition that takes place in the year 2125, in a town somewhere in Ontario.
There are currently four images – Base Load, Copper Sky, Too Cheap To Meter and Melt My Ice Cream – and a small sculpture called Power Play. The images are accompanied by small scraps of paper I have created to simulate scraps carried by refugees. The basic idea is that a committee has been studying these scraps to try to determine what happened over the previous century. Other images and texts are under development.
Further ideas include production of a full catalog of the show, mimicking those produced by galleries to accompany exhibitions; producing images and text on glass; and presenting an “Opening Reception Night” as a theatre.
